So you found my website and you are wondering who I am. Contrary to the image above, I am not a desert prarie dog, nor do I keep one as a pet, but frankly he's much cuter. My name is Catherine Strickland and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I'm a first generation English immigrant so I am fortunate to enjoy the antics of a crazy English family right here in the desert. Consequently, I enjoy traveling, especially to England to visit the rest of my family and friends.

While I'm on the subject of my family, I shall explain that it was my father who coined my nickname "Chippy" as you see it referenced within the site. It originated from a fond memory of having my wisdom teeth extracted in which my face, particularly my cheeks, became swollen and I looked like a chipmunk for several days. Hence, I am forever called Chippy among my family and a few of my close friends. Thanks Dad.

By the world's definition, I suppose I am in the "young working professional" stage of my life. I am a recent college graduate degreed in marketing and computer science. I am working in the public sector at present building and maintaining website material, e-newsletters, graphic design for printed collateral, and on occasion event planning. I like the variety, and I like my co-workers. It has been an awesome job, and a great place to begin my career.
